RED GIRLS PROJECT MEETING FEBRUARY 3, 2024

In Uganda, the current health situation regarding HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases is worrying. Through the Red Girls Project, we have made a collaborative effort with local doctors to collect information on contraceptive methods available in Uganda. And based on the information obtained, we have created informative visual material that is being distributed in clinics and schools with which we have agreements.

During our last meeting on February 3, we provided 118 attentions, including more than 30 family planning and guidance. We perform 97 HIV tests, and unfortunately, 27.65% of the results were positive. This data drives us to continue promoting sexual health and looking for ways to support those diagnosed.

The volunteer medical team positively values the impact on the community, exceeding our initial expectations. However, we are faced with the need to combat ignorance and lack of knowledge on these issues.

It is vital to continue working on this mission, motivating more people to join our effort to improve sexual health in Uganda and provide support to those in need.
