WHAT DO WE DO?
WHAT DO WE DO?
Red Girls Project develops educational programs focused on health, autonomy, and sustainability. Our goal is to create safe spaces where people can learn, grow, and make informed decisions about their bodies and well-being.
OUR PROGRAMS
C.We believe that education is the key to empowerment. Many girls, adolescents, and women in vulnerable communities grow up without access to information about their own bodies, their health, and their rights. Through our programs, we aim to break the silence, combat misinformation, and provide tools so everyone can make informed decisions about their well-being and their future.
Female and male anatomy
Knowing your body is the first step towards empowerment. Many girls and young women lack access to clear information about how their bodies work, which leads to insecurities, fears, and taboos.
What do we do?
✔️ We explain female and male anatomy in a simple way.
✔️ We promote body awareness to improve self-esteem and confidence.
✔️ We debunk myths and foster respect for body diversity.
Aim: Helping girls and women understand and respect their bodies, promoting their autonomy and well-being.
.
Reproductive health
Lack of knowledge about reproductive health can have serious consequences. Many young women don't understand how their reproductive system works or when they should see a health professional.
What do we do?
✔️ We explain how the female and male reproductive systems work.
✔️ We debunk myths about fertility and sexual health.
✔️ We offer information on how to prevent and detect gynecological problems.
Aim: Promote informed decisions and ensure access to essential reproductive health knowledge.
.
Menstruation and menarche
Menstruation is still a taboo in many communities. This leads to embarrassment, lack of access to appropriate products, and school dropouts.
What do we do?
✔️ We normalize menstruation and demystify false beliefs.
✔️ We explain how the menstrual cycle works and its relationship to overall health.
✔️ We teach how to have good menstrual hygiene
Aim: Combat period poverty, ensure hygienic and dignified menstruation management, and eliminate associated social stigmas.
.
Pelvic Power
The pelvic floor is key to women's health and well-being, but few receive information about its care. Urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, and prolapse are common problems that can be prevented with good education.
What do we do?
✔️ We explain the importance of the pelvic floor in women's health.
✔️ We teach exercises to strengthen these muscles and prevent dysfunction.
✔️ We encourage autonomy and self-care in women of all ages.
Aim: Improve the quality of life of women and girls through prevention and strengthening of the pelvic floor.
.
Comprehensive sex education
Many girls and young women lack clear and accessible information about their sexuality and their rights. This makes them more vulnerable to abuse, unplanned pregnancies, and sexually transmitted diseases.
What do we do?
✔️ We approach sex education from a comprehensive and taboo-free perspective.
✔️ We explain contraceptive methods, STIs, and the importance of consent.
✔️ We create safe spaces where you can resolve questions without fear or shame.
Aim: Ensure that every person can make informed decisions about their body, sexuality, and well-being.
.
Sewing workshop
Sewing can be a tool for empowerment and economic self-sufficiency. In addition to helping make reusable pads, it also allows many women to generate income.
What do we do?
✔️ We teach how to make cloth pads and other reusable products.
✔️ We promote the economic self-sufficiency of participants.
✔️ We encourage teamwork and collaboration within communities.
Aim: Provide practical tools that enable women and young people to develop new skills and access economic opportunities.
.
To our existing programs, we are adding two new key initiatives:
YoCultural exchanges and volunteering: solidarity trips
We believe in the importance of experiencing change firsthand. We want more people to be able to actively participate in our initiatives and gain a closer look at the realities of the communities where we work.
What do we want to offer?
✔️ Volunteer experiences in the communities where we implement our programs.
✔️ Cultural exchanges to generate mutual learning.
✔️ Immersive activities with real social impact.
Aim: To create a direct link between volunteers and communities, strengthening the impact of our programs and fostering global awareness.
.
Training scholarships for girls and young women in vulnerable situations
Access to education is key to breaking the cycle of poverty and inequality. We want to offer training scholarships so that girls and young women can continue their studies and ensure a future full of opportunities.
With this program, we seek to:
✔️ Preventing school dropouts due to lack of resources.
✔️ Provide educational and material support to those who need it.
✔️ Promote access to technical and vocational training that helps them achieve financial independence.
.
Prevention and awareness of gender violence
Gender-based violence remains one of the main barriers to the well-being and development of many women and girls.
We want to offer:
✔️ Safe spaces where they can speak and be heard.
✔️ Training and resources to identify and prevent violence.
✔️ Support and guidance for those who need it.
Our goal is empower them with information and tools to defend their rights and build safer communities.
.
Make it possible!
These programs will only be a reality with the support of people like you. Every contribution brings us one step closer to transforming lives. 🌱💜
